Ashford Place Brent Thrive Members were delighted to support Thames 21 and some residents in blustery conditions at the weekend to clean up the banks along the river Brent near Quainton Street Neasden. Members are exploring activities that involve enjoying and/or improving our local natural environment such as our rivers, parks, woods. We would all probably agree the value of nature experience for mental health. Whilst we are surrounded by increasing urbanization and reducing contact with nature Brent Thrive Members are looking at how we can all preserve and enhance opportunities for nature experience and as a consequence enhance our health and wellbeing, particularly in these Covid-19 times. Many people are telling us how isolated they have felt over the last months since lockdown. We want to support them to enjoy nature in Brent in a safe and fun way.
